Sorry for that unexpected blogging break. (I actually hate posts that start like that. It assumes that you are frantically checking this site like WHY ISN’T SHE BLOGGING? I know that you were not doing that.) To be honest, I’m having a terrible time finding things to write about. Life is phenomenally boring. Doug was crazy sick last week, and then I got it, and that is pretty much all that is going on.
The best part of the sicknesses was the fact that no medicine was working so I began making hot toddies. I now have a collection of hot toddy recipes and am a firm believer in the healing power of warm brandy mixed with honey and lemon. So much so I just sent Doug out for more brandy.
We go on vacation in a week, and I can’t wait. My big plan is to sit by the pool and read a book. And drink mojitos. And if it is not warm or if it rains I plan to cry. Any book recommendations? Only happy books please.
The bigger problem with blogging is that when you have been blogging for as long as I have, and I like to say I have been blogging so long I blogged uphill both ways in the snow, eventually you run out of things to say. Don’t worry, I’m not closing up shop or anything, I just remember when I first started blogging, all of those millions of years ago, I used to post EVERY SINGLE DAY. And I wrote other places and posted on them as well. Now I’m lucky if I write on jodifur 2-3 times a week.
On a completely different note, I was interviewed for Listen To Your Mother, and you should read that, because it is WAY more interesting than this here post, and if you live in DC and you haven’t bought tickets you should do that too, because they are going fast.

I know. I used to post multiple times a day when I first started. Now it is three times a week if I’m lucky. I think less is more. Ha.
I’m at the point where I have to do a google search of my own site to see if I’ve already used the story or joke that I’m about to post. :p
