I’m Out, Part Sixty Million

by Jodifur on January 19, 2011

So, a few years ago, I don't know, 3?  (I looked, I couldn't find the post) I ran out of blog topics, and had readers ask me questions.  I'm thinking we are going to do this again because I stared at a blank post screen for about an hour last night.  It has been 4 years.  I'm out of ideas.

Ask me anything, nothing is off limits.  That being said, that does not mean I will answer your question.  Some questions will be answered in upcoming blog posts.

Real posts start up again next week.  I promise.  I know things have been lightish around here.  Work is crazy and I have nothing to say.  IT IS TOO POSSIBLE.

Think of it as Formspring, but on my blog.  Is Formspring even still around?  I don't even know.  I'm like at web 1.0 still.

I happened to see a comment that you left on The Bloggess’s Good Mom/Bad Mom column about her awful bout of rheumatoid arthritis. I knew you had lupus, but didn’t know you had RA too. So, uh, how’s that whole thing going? I ask as an interested and concerned individual with friends/relatives/acquaintances who have suffered from both conditions.

Now I feel like a shallow gal after that very interesting question about your health, but I’m going to ask it anyways:
What shoes do you recommend we buy this spring for casual? I keep wearing Reef flip flops, ballet flats and canvas sneakers everywhere. I feel like I’m stuck in either 1997 or 2004. Please help!

Question #1: How’s Michael doing in school and do you feel you made the right decision after the heart wrenching agony over what to do last year? I think I know the answer but will ask it anyway!
Question #2: How many Pillow Pets now reside in your house? Just wanted to see if the count went up!
And you are not at Web 1.0! And yes, Formspring still exists! :)

I LOVE to organize and want to start a business doing it, if I could earn enough to retire from my FT job (still got a kid in college). So is it creepy to offer my services to you? (I live in northern VA, so near-ish by….) Bc my kids are older, my house can stay organized. :)

Your online presence is quasi-anonymous, you have made efforts to keep a certain amount of separation in your real world. But as time goes on, those wall have crumbled a bit. You have real world friendships from twitter and the blogosphere, your parents now read and occasionally comment. You have had organizations post your last name with your articles. There is even at least one idiot on here who mentioned your blog in front of people who didn’t know about it. I still feel bad about that by the way. So my question is, in the wake of this fusion of worlds, how, if at all, has it changed your writing and what you blog about.

This is such a lame-o question but do you watch all of Buddy’s shows or just the bake off one?

What is your most comfortable pair of shoes – that you would dare to wear to the office?

How are your dietary changes going? Still sugar-free and staying away from refined grains (for the most part)?
