Contest! National Zoo’s Guppy Gala Tickets

by Jodifur on April 26, 2010

The National Zoo has offered me four tickets to the Guppy Gala to give away.  If you are not familiar with the Guppy Gala it is an event for families with
preschool and elementary school-age children.  They can talk to veterinarians, scale
rock-climbing walls, enjoy live entertainment, feast on kid-friendly treats and
much more.  This annual
family-friendly event offers guests exciting animal encounters, yummy
food, and a variety of spectacular activities.  It is May 14 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  (I am getting no compensation for giving away the tickets.  I'm not even going, because I'm going to be out of town.)

We love the zoo, and we love zoo events.  We went to ZooLights (sponsored), and had a blast, and have been to Boo at the Zoo (we paid for those tickets), and had an equally fabulous time.

Contest is open until Wednesday at 7 p.m. and a winner will be announced Thursday morning.  Just leave a comment to enter.  Let me know why you would want to go the Guppy Gala, or what your favorite thing at the zoo to see is.

__________

The winner for the Science you Can Sing to Contest is workout mommy. Email me at jodi@lucidphoenix.com for all the details. See you there.

I know there is a bit of a scandal lately on how bloggers are picking their contest winners.  I asked my husband to pick a number between one and eight and he picked number seven.  Workout mommy is not a "in real life" friend, although I look forward to meeting her at the event.  I hope ya'all can trust me.

(Wow, I never have this many contests!  It is like I am a review blog or something!)

Sounds like a great event. We go to the zoo often (we live in Vienna, our son is 3&1/2) but never been to this event. His favorites are big animals and the pizza playground. Thanks.

We just went to the zoo last week. My 4.5 year old daughter’s favorite part of it was playing on a stage they’ve got set up. Not the animals, just that stage. Kids! I enjoyed the small mammal house.

Sounds very awesome indeed and if it was a Saturday I’d be all over it as my daughter loves animals though she hasn’t been to the zoo in about 2 years. Though good to keep in mind for next year. Thanks for putting this on my radar!

I was talking to my sister today, who is considering moving to a remote part of New Jersey, and she suddenly realized that she would no longer live super close to 3 big airports. And I said, “you mean there are places in the world that are not close to Airports with free museums and FREE zoo?” Did you know that every other city IN THE WORLD charges ridiculous fees to enter their zoo? I love our zoo and have been to Boo at the Zoo and would lurve the Guppy Gala too!

My favorite things at the zoo are the two remaining pandas.

We would love the tickets! Our favorite thing used to be the hippo and giraffe, but now it’s probably the gorillas, especially the baby.

I just went to the zoo for 2 hours with my son’s Kindergarten class. He wanted to see more, and I think this would be a great event to take him to.
