We do this fun thing at MamaPop where we wax on poetically about one topic or another and we call it the MamaPop Roundtable. It is one of my favorite things that we do.
This week the topic was to pick our favorite pop culture topic of the week and talk. I talked for 3 minutes about Tiger Woods. Apparently I have a lot to say. The brilliant Palinode edited me, as he should, because there are a lot of us talking.
It took me months to get comfortable with me on video. My voice, my hair, and UGH, I look fat! But I loved my little rant. So I decied to post it unedited here. Enjoy. How can you not love air quotes?

Awesome! You rock! It was fun to hear you talk and see you on video, it always makes a person seem more “real” if you know what I mean. You should post more of those!

Honestly, I never gave much thought to Tiger Woods before this all happened. Golf was/is just not on my radar. But I understand what kind of star power he carries with him…and he sure seems to realize that as well. Along with star power (esp. when you are a FREAKING ROLE MODEL to young kids)comes some responsibility (oh, and also? it comes with marriage) so when you get all freaky-deaky with handfuls of women outside of your marriage and yet try to maintain a squeaky clean image in the press, you will fail.
He made his own fail category, in my opinion. He created the #tigerfail

LOVE THIS!!!! My favorite part is calling Tiger out on being an asshole before all of this. I couldn’t agree more. I have never cared for him and obviously this solidified it for me. And couldn’t agree more that it was beyond awesome that his wife did not stand there with him and humiliate herself in a faux show of support!

First off…. I love this. I love actually seeing video of you. Well, honestly, I love seeing video of all bloggers I read. I think it just makes you so much more real. (If that makes sense).
Second… I totally agree with you. Tiger Woods=Asshole. That being said…. I don’t give enough of a crap about him that I needed him to have any “press conference” apoligizing for his ridiculous behavior. It was such a waste of tv time.
love the vid! and, while I didn’t think Tiger was necessarily an asshole before (I didn’t honestly think about him much at all), I’m with you that he’s probably been one all along. It’s not just the event that was a train wreck, it’s the whole handling of it. gah.
