In Case You Haven't Heard
We are powerless and homeless. Power went out 1 pm on Saturday and is still not on and they are saying it will be off ALL WEEK. We have taken refuge at my best friend's, and I'm not sure when I will be posting again. So, we are safe and warm, just not in our house.
Thank you for you all who have been thinking warm thoughts on twitter. Not sure when I will post again. Probably when we are back in our house. And it better be before 6 pm on Friday.
I am so sorry to hear this. Not having power really, really sucks. My fingers are crossed that you get it back soon. Hang in there.

i hope it comes back on soon. otherwise, consider a move to the great white north. or as i like to call it, wisconsin. we're only expecting up to 9" tonight. totally feasible for us.

I've been following your progress (or lack of it) on twitter, and I still can't believe it. I thought my 18 hours was bad (especially since none of my friends lost power at all). Enjoy your time at your parents'. And stay sane. This will make a great story someday.

I know that snow on the East coast is not TOTALLY unheard of... you would think they would be... I don't know... prepared for this and STRENGTHEN the power lines or something?! Geesh! Put the damn things underground or something! What happens to the people that DON'T have best friends?! Popsicles... that's what.
