I've notice this trend in the blogosphere that I keep being invited to PR events in the middle of the day. I can't be the only "mommyblogger" who has a job right? And I'm not saying stay at home moms don't work, trust me, I know they do. But why do all the PR people assume all "mommybloggers" stay home?
I'm over DC Metro Moms talking about being the only mom in Michael's preschool who has a job. It's kind of the same feeling.

I totally understand this. There are a ton of classes (tumbling, etc) that I would love to put my 3 year old in at our local rec center. But, uh, they are ALL during the day and none for his age group are on the weekends. So frustrating.
Man, I totally, whole-heartedly agree. I hate that marketers shove all parenting blogs (specifically mom blogs) into one headline and don’t account for the many, MANY different women who write on the Internet.
Even mommybloggers who DO stay at home cannot come to PR events in the middle of the day, because we are busy being, you know, MOMMIES.
I am new to the whole blogger thing yet I still noticed this trend. Seems like I miss so many opps and in 3D world I also miss playdates for my youngest. I must be the only Mommy in his school who is not only a working Mommy but a single Mommy! My Saturdays are spent doing chores, taking them to activities, going to doc appt. and if per chance I get a moment I have to run and do the womanly things that make me presentable in the Corporate world- like get my hair, nails, and threading done! I’ve even scheduled hair appointments at 7am to make sure I do me!!!
It’s the same with school activities. All meeting, all little plays, all family picnics, smack dab in the middle of the day. I attend 1/10 if at all. When my daughter was in preschool, that school had more of a daycare mentality. Pot lucks, activities, everything was either in early evening or during the weekends.
I feel you. I’m the only working mother in my family. My sisters will lounge at the pool all summer with their kids while mine will be stuck in daycare. Then again, my husband doesn’t inspect my grocery receipts and I can get my hair cut and buy shoes whenever I want!
