We have resubscribed to netflix after a few years off. We find ourselves watching a lot of movies again. So, tell me,what should I see?
And I promise, real posts, very, very soon.

I should preface what I am about to say with the statement that I have been told that I have not such great taste in movies.

That being said, it will not stop me from offering recommendations anyway :)

In no particular order, these are things that I have seen recently and enjoyed: Waitress, National Treasure 2, 27 Dresses, and a bunch of TV shows that I didn’t see when they started – like House.

My favorites? “Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels”, “The Usual Suspects”, “Grosse Point Blank”.

Wow. I just realized what a disturbing sense of humor I have.

Amazing Grace – but you have to be in that kind of mood. But I have to say that even in a “serious” film, Ioan Gruffud is total eye candy.

And, surprisingly, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was one of the most hysterical films I have seen this year.

I’m with Maggie…I mostly watch TV stuff from Netflix. I like the shorter time commitment to watch a 1 hour show (45 min with no commercials) instead of a 2+ hour movie. Right now I’m working my way through Six Feet Under and Gilmore Girls.

I wish I could help, but I have dropped out of Netflix about 20 times now. If you haven’t seen Juno, I highly recommend it!

We haven’t done Netflicks yet but I always think it sounds like a good idea.

we use netflix a lot to watch backlogged tv episodes since we don’t have cable. we caught up on project runway. and we’ve been returning them like crazy! i guess it’s in the air!

but in regards to film, i’m a giant french film noir buff. i love jean luc godard and francois truffaut. if you’re interested, i’d put on your queue: godard’s “a bout de souffle” (also known in america as “breathless” ), “vivre sa vie,” and “masculin, feminin.” and truffaut’s “le quatre cent coups” (aka “the 400 blows”).

to see if they’re up your alley, youtube has little clips of them to check out.

I am a horrible person to recommend movies. Our Netflix list has almost 200 dvds on it (probably 1/3 of them are tv series). Nick and I haven’t been to the actual movies in ages… and I have no clue as to what the new releases are anymore. We just get excited whenever the little red envelope shows up in the mail.

Let us know what you’re adding to your list!
