PJ and TV Day

by Jodifur on February 1, 2008

When I was sick as a kid, I used to love curling up on the couch or my parents bed in pajamas and watching tv all day. In fact, I still love that.
Michael was up half the night with a fever. Nothing else seems wrong, he is just running a high fever. My pediatrician calls these "fevers of unknown origin." He gets them almost every other month and they come and go after a couple of days.
It's pouring outside, and since I wasn't going anywhere with a feverish toddler, a declared today a PJ and movie day. I told Michael he could watch all the TV he wanted and we would snuggle on the couch. I even offered to make pancakes, from scratch.
But no, he wants to play, with Mommy, RIGHT NOW! How sick can this kid be if he is jumping around the house and screaming at me to play with him. I on the other hand, really, really, just want to take a nap. But I won't, because when/if Michael naps I will work out. Because I, am insane.
I have to go to a work function tonight and I think I would rather slit my wrists. It's like a monsoon out there.
As an aside, my post from yesterday, the one about Doug waking me up to get Michael, keeps vanishing from my blog and then mysteriously showing up again. Um, okay, that's weird.

I think your blog is flip-flopping between siding with you and siding with Doug.

Oh, a TV and PJ day sounds heavenly. You deserve one soon.

I do the same thing when Logan is sick. However, my kid is a TV addict so he will always take that over playing if offered.
