Okay, well, I did nothing. I failed the challenge. But, for a medical reason. I am not allowed to give blood. I am so anemic that if I give blood I pass out. So, they don't like me giving blood. Plus, my blood just gets thrown in the garbage anyway, and it seems silly to do that. As for the bone marrow donation, I should have signed up up, but I didn't.
But, not to despair, new challenge, next month! A chance to redeem myself. Come join us!

I didn’t donate blood (although before having Zoe I donated regularly). I did join the registry. It was simple… now I just fear I’ll be a match for someone.

I don’t think people should feel bad if they can’t donate for medical reasons. BUT IF THEY CAN THEY SHOULD!
My boys were in the NICU for 8 weeks and at one point the blood shortage was so severe that the hospital was cutting back on surgeries. The neonatalogist found us to reassure that the hospital’s policy was never to withhold transfusions for preemies.
So I have two amazing boys in my life in part due to the donations of complete strangers. If you cannot donate, get someone else to.
